Export from the App

Your data is always in your hands. Extract it anytime, in a machine-readable JSON format.

Open VELO

Launch the app and make sure you're signed in.

Go to Settings → Privacy

Navigate to the Privacy section within Settings.

Tap "Export My Data (JSON)"

Your complete data profile will be packaged and copied to your clipboard.

Save or Share

Paste the JSON into a text editor or email it to yourself. It's yours.

Available for all tiers (Free, Pro, Master) in-app. No limits, no fees.

What's Included in Your Export

Your export contains all data we store about you that is portable and meaningful:

Account Profile

Your tier (Free/Pro/Master), Sparks balance, subscription status, and current settings.

App Settings & Preferences

Your WPM (words-per-minute) setting, AI provider selection, language preference, and UI themes.

history

Reading Session History

All your reading sessions: title, word count, progress, WPM, date, and performance metrics.

cloud_sync

Device & Cloud Sync

Your master preferences synced to cloud. Local device data is included where applicable.

What's NOT Included (And Why)

Some data is excluded by design, for your security and privacy:

Personal API Key (BYOK)

Your Gemini, OpenAI, or Claude API key never leaves your device. By design, it is encrypted locally and excluded from all exports for your protection.

Texts & Documents Processed

These are not stored — they flow through our system in real-time and are immediately discarded. Nothing to export.

Firebase Analytics Data

Managed by Google Analytics. You can request deletion via Google's own data tools at myactivity.google.com.

Google AdMob Advertising Data

Managed by Google AdMob. Subject to Google's data retention and portability policies.

Third-Party Subscription Records

Purchase history on Google Play (Android) or App Store (iOS) is managed by those platforms. Contact them directly.

Cloud profile, subscription history, and server-side logs can be requested directly from our privacy team:
